John
John’s creativity has never been about sticking to one medium or following a particular set of rules. From poetry and painting to sculpture and tattooing, art has been a constant in his life—an outlet for experimentation, self-expression, and connecting with the people around him.
Inspired by surrealism, contemporary art, film, and the storytelling traditions of artists across different cultures, John is drawn to work that feels expressive, unexpected, and open to interpretation. His influences range from West Coast and Latin American artists to Japanese approaches to composition and symbolism, all contributing to his evolving creative perspective.
John brings an exploratory mindset to tattooing, embracing the challenge of translating ideas into something permanent and personal. He enjoys the creative exchange between artist and client, where different perspectives can come together to produce something neither might have imagined independently.
Outside of his artistic practice, John also works in nursing, balancing two disciplines that both require patience, adaptability, and a genuine interest in people. As he continues developing his craft, he approaches each opportunity with curiosity, an openness to learning, and a desire to make work that feels distinctly his own.
